Factoids!
- Most customers were not assessed a penalty until 2004.
- During 2005 increasing amount of people were measured for Power Factor due to availability of information from TXU's IDR meters.
- Power factor is a measurement of how efficiently electric systems use energy. Electric utilities operate most decently at power factor levels of 95 percent or higher.
- Customer equipment such as motors, such as air handlers running at less than peak capacity, older machines and fluorescent lighting can contribute to a needed Power Factor Correction.
